Subject: Re: [Practiceimprovement1] Amazing charts
billing service
Reply-To:
Hi Tim and
Naureen,
I'm my
wife's practice manager. Six months ago my wife was part of an OB/GYN specialty
group, but we broke off and went solo. The transition has been a lot of hard
work, but well worth it on a variety of levels. One of the first things we did
when we moved was sever our ties with the billing service the group used and
selected our own billing service. I briefly contemplated doing the billing
in-house, but in my opinion, it always made more sense to outsource. Our
specialty is OB/GYN, not billing. The trick of course is to find an outsourcing
service that can do things better and more cost-effectively than doing it
in-house--and certainly better than the previous service!
I did a lot
of research and tied uor future to a billing service that I read about in the
Wall Street Journal. I stumbled across them from an article the WSJ wrote which
profiled the owner and his business in an article about outsourcing to India.
I've been using them for six months and can say without reservation that they
provide us outstanding service. They are based on the east coast (we are
in California), and they have a satellite office in India. Everything is
web-driven. They built a great web-interface and nice scheduling program as
well. I have found they are an exponential leap above my previous billing
service--which generated complaints similar to yours-- and less expensive
to boot (7.5% versus 6.5%). I would be happy to give you their name if you are
interested. Just shoot me a private email.
Best
wishes,
Jeffrey
