Subject: RE: [Practiceimprovement1] New patient survey
Reply-To: Practiceimprovement1@yahoogroups.com
As best I can recall/guess:
1. about 450
2. 35 to 60 (more in flu season)
3. 630
4. 28 months
5. Hard to say. I closed when the PA who was working with me left. Together we had almost 1600, and she planned to take her 550 or so with her, but a lot of them have since said they'd rather stay with me, and some of mine have decided they want a more "traditional" office, where they can call and chat to staff people without being put on the spot to schedule an appt, or call back when they want to schedule. As best I can figure now, I seem to have about a thousand, maybe a little less.
6. I regularly schedule M-F and am available weekends
and holidays (usually see 2-3 every other weekend) for acutes
that can't wait til Monday. I start at
7. 35 to 40 visits/week most weeks.
8. Seasonal variation is surprisingly small. Average number of visits drops during Keeneland's (the local thoroughbred track) spring and fall meets: three weeks each in April and October. Other than that, visits remain fairly constant.
9. Yellow pages ad, but I am pulling that with the next edition. Word of mouth does the job.
10. Across the board average dollars per patient contact is running $81 per. Has ranged from $65 to 92, I recalculate monthly.
Hope
that helps,
