Electronic claims submission
Question: Does anyone have a preference over direct
electronic claims
submissions vs. through a clearighous? Any particularly wonderful or
horrible experiences out there? Any other options that
I am not
considering besides old fashioned paper claims.
Thanks!

I thought electronic claims & a clearinghouse were basically synonymous? In other words, I thought you had to use a clearinghouse to submit electronically?

nope, you can submit directly electronically to certain
but not all insurers
(medicare, medicaid, bcbs), using for example in EZClaims
the ANSI direct
format. A lot more expensive and more complicated (1300-1600$ upfront, vs
for about, were I to do it, about 70$ per month electronically through a
clearinghouse).
