health insurance for older children

For
those of you whose child loses your coverage because he or she graduates from
college and who does not have coverage through employment, Fortis
offers short-term (6 months) coverage at a very reasonable rate.
For six months our son's coverage was only $75/month and it was good coverage.
Thankfully, he didn't need to use it but it was reassuring to know he had it
that summer as he rode his bicycle coast-to-coast on a Habitat-for Humanity
fundraiser! Luckily, in October he then got a job in NYC with good
coverage.
