You've already gotten good advice from others on the list. I used my first few months in practice as a "learning time" where I called on charges that weren't getting paid and asked why. Based on that feedback, my coding and modifiers rapidly improved and I have many fewer rejections based on my claims nowadays. It wasn't anything I really wanted to learn, but really wasn't much more abhorrent than the block in renal sodium gradients I can barely recall from medical school, now that I think about it. Good luck - and we're available to answer more specific questions, if that would be useful, also. Nancy Guinn Yahoo! Groups Sponsor ADVERTISEMENT Yahoo!
