From the MD in Drain,
At long last, a year after application, I am credentialed by PacificSource insurance. I think that is the last insurance out there that I applied to that has finished the process. I had not heard from them since November of 05 when I sent off the last of their requests.
This is just to let those starting out know just how long it can take for these groups to get the paper off their desks. The fastest one took two months, and this was the slowest. In a couple of cases, these companies paid retroactively after they credentialed me. That is not the usual case. ODS did so, but PacificCare did not.
In this case, I can not tell if the cage-rattling of some of my patients got this finished. Some of these people were really mad at this company for not making a decision, since I am the only person in a 30 mile radius who is taking new patients. Lots of phone calls, I hear.
