patients to complete the HowsYourHealth Checkup every year or two). Sometimes
we use short surveys of our patients and ask them to be practice advisors. Patients
also email suggestions about how to make our care better. Current ratings from 500
patients of Our Practices are compared to National Data Sample for the Year 2006.

Compared to a national sample, IMP patients are more pleased with their care
primarily because of access, continuity, efficiency, and communication. Since IMP
patients are not more confident in self-management than other patients, markers of
disease control are comparable. For this reason IMP practice launched a
“Campaign for Confidence.”
